Pope Leo XIV: Vatican Ready To Accept Ukraine-Russia Talks

The pontiff's decision was confirmed by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni said that Pope Leo XIV is ready to host the next round of talks between the Ukrainian and Russian sides at the Vatican to try to end the war.

"Having found from the Holy Father a confirmation of readiness to host the next talks between the parties at the Vatican, Prime Minister Meloni expressed her deep gratitude for his unwavering commitment to peace," the report said.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky earlier said that for the next stage of talks with Russia are considered: Turkey, Switzerland and the Vatican.
